The OPT-1100 series is among Optone‘s answers to expanding existing Fast Ethernetnetworks. The easy implementation and expansion of 100Base-TX/FX networks canbe further assured with this converter. The converter is completely transparent when connected so the network performsexactly the way it did before - only now, it allows the co-existence of bothcopper and fiber mediums. Added flexibility is available with ST, SC, FC andWDM Simplex SC connectors. Extra distances are possible with the single modeversion delivering up to 80kmconnectivity per transmitted segment.

The OPTONE 10/100M Fast Ethernet Media Converter provides a cost-effective and highly reliable solution for bridging standard 10/100Base-TX copper networks with 100Base-FX fiber optic cabling. Designed to seamlessly extend network transmission distances, these converters can bridge data from 2km over multi-mode fiber up to 120km over single-mode fiber.

Ideal for campus networks, enterprise LANs, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS), this standalone converter is fully plug-and-play. For high-density deployments, it is seamlessly compatible with the OPTONE 19″ 14-Slot System Chassis (OPT-R14), allowing network administrators to centralize power and easily manage up to 14 media converters in a standard equipment rack.
