The OPTONE 2-Port 10/100M Fast Ethernet Media Converter (OPT-1102 Series) is an intelligent, cost-effective solution designed to bridge standard copper networks with fiber optic cabling. Featuring a unique 3-port design with two 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 ports and one 100Base-FX fiber port, this device acts as a compact fiber switch, allowing two distinct IP devices (such as IP cameras or PCs) to seamlessly share a single fiber optic link.
Capable of extending network distances from 2km over multi-mode fiber up to 120km over single-mode fiber, this converter is ideal for IP video surveillance, enterprise network extensions, and campus networks. It can operate as a standalone desktop unit or be deployed centrally using the OPTONE OPT-R14 19″ System Chassis.
